Kate Austen - LOST - Steps

I decided to take my painting of Kate Austen that I did for my self-challenge "50 paintings in 50 days" and take it to a new level. I am about 50% in and hope to be done soon. It has been quite challenging for me to do this, but very fun.

Zepher - Work In Progress - About 70% Complete

Getting down to the wire on this. I am probably going to de-emphasize the background some more to make Zepher stand out. This is not conforming to her original suit color scheme (blue and purple instead of red and yellow) but I am liking where this is going.

Atypical Tinkerbell Completed

Original sketch copyright of Jessica Hickman. jessasketch on deviantart. I had a really great time painting this. Line art created in Adobe Illustrator and painting done in Adobe Photoshop using basic brushes. I added a couple of letters in the right wing... "FML" and "FTW". A friend suggested that I do a zombie version of Tinkerbell now.

Illustrator CS5 Testing - Variable Width Pen Tool - Tinkerbell

I have found that this function is so awesome. Gone are the days of "penning" each individual line in a piece of artwork. I cannot believe how this speeds up my work process. If you have the means, I highly recommend Illustrator CS5. Here is an example of line art that I did of Tinkerbell.
