Monkey Wrench Garage - Illustration

I had a great time drawing this. A friend came to me and asked for an illustration for her boyfriend who i really into restoring hot rods. He is currently working on a '73 Chevy Nova. Some requirements she wanted were a "bad-ass" looking monkey holding a monkey wrench in his tail driving a '73 Nova. I decided to create it in a style similar to "Rat Fink" with the over-exaggerated tires, burnout smoke, gearshift coming through the roof, etc. I added small elements to add destails such as the partially visible "ST" on the Hurst T-handle shifter and a vanity license plate which reads "PRIM8." Drawing was sketched in Photoshop and taken into Illustrator for final inking.

A friend suggested that I do a zombie version of Tinkerbell now.

Illustrator CS5 Testing - Variable Width Pen Tool - Tinkerbell

I have found that this function is so awesome. Gone are the days of "penning" each individual line in a piece of artwork. I cannot believe how this speeds up my work process. If you have the means, I highly recommend Illustrator CS5. Here is an example of line art that I did of Tinkerbell.

Kevin Malone Poster

Here it is, hot off the cafepress! I am amazed at the quality of their products. The paper is thicker than store-bought posters and the color and printing is unbelievable. Cannot see one pixel on the whole thing.

I am Totally Gonna Bang Holly - Kevin Malone

15 hours, hand drawn and painted in Photoshop. I am really proud of this one. I pushed my limits of skin shades and overall textures. Not sure who I am gonna draw next. Maybe Pam.

Chloe Sullivan of Smallville

The line drawing was done by Dominic Marco and the coloring was done by me. Took about 5 hours total in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet. Not for a commission or anything, just practice. Comments and Crits welcome!
